from what I heard about the ending, I think she gets uncursed??? But the ending is pretty much the worst thing you could do to Watanuki’s character imho. So sticking with the cuteness of the earlier parts forever!

that’s pretty much the same deal as me and the manga, I just couldn’t deal with all of the angst and TRC on the horizon. So I stopped reading it and decided to pretend that everything that came after didn’t happen!
haha yeah, I’m just going to pretend it ended where I stopped. I mean sure, I have no idea what Yuuko’s deal is, but apparently I’d have to read TRC to fully get that anyway and it’s really sad and bizarre and confusing regardless.
though I do have to wonder since it apparently happens how Himawari could get married what with her thing and all. Is her husband immune to it like Doumeki is?
like I was nervous about the timeskip, so I spoiled myself and yeah, that’s too sad and weird and Tsubasa-heavy and what, I’m totally fine stopping with everyone being like <3 at each other.
Also apparently Doumeki vowed to follow Watanuki around for the rest of his life because he saw him talking to a dead cat about how he would die alone and was like “NO YOU’RE NOT I’M FOLLOWING YOU AROUND FOREVER” where did that cat even come from did you just find a dead cat and start talking to it Watanuki? Still, awww.
Then there was the part where Doumeki was like “I doubt he thinks of me as a friend even now” UM NO WERE YOU NOT LISTENING HOWEVER MANY EPISODES AGO WHEN SOMEONE ASKED IF YOU TWO WERE FRIENDS AND WATANUKI WAS LIKE “YES UNFORTUNATELY” . that was still a yes, just tsundere style. YOU NEED TO LISTEN OR YOU’LL MISS THESE COVERT EXPRESSIONS OF AFFECTION JEEZ HAVEN’T YOU LEARNED THAT BY NOW.
Whatever everyone on this show is heartbreaking and frustrating but now i’m done. DONE I TELL YOU.

So like one of Watanuki’s eyes was brown because of this development? but then in the next episode both his eyes are blue again i guess the animators are lazy or it…normalized…
you know wouldn’t this mean Doumeki would need glasses I mean Watanuki already has them but
does Doumeki just compensate for poor vision in one eye with sheer stoicness
oh and also spiders are apparently assholes because the lady who presides over them is a total asshole. She even admitted it.

except he smiles sometimes that’s how you can tell the difference. (seriously that’s how Watanuki told the difference. He was like “Doumeki?” *smile* “oh you must he his grandfather okay”
And Doumeki dreams about his grandfather going around on a white horse shooting stuff what an interesting subconcious. I thought for a second that Doumeki had literally procured a white horse to rescue Watanuki which would have been hilarious you might as well but no he just dreams about his grandfather doing that.
Also I like how Watanuki was like “WHO THE HELL IS SHIZUKA oh Doumeki’s first name i didn’t know he had one.”
also at least according to the dream grandfather Doumeki was like…dressed as a girl when he was younger? Watanuki is like NOW I KNOW HIS EMBARRASSING PAST but like whatever man I doubt Doumeki would care yo. I have no idea what this means, but it’s now my headcanon Doumeki is trans as that seems to be the most logical assumption to make???
