This is possibly Anime!Mamoru’s greatest moment. OF EPIC OWNAGE AND BEING A TOTAL TROLL. And it’s kind of sweet, to boot.

(This is after Mimette has rudely elbowed a territorial Usagi out of the way to get all up in Mamoru’s good stuff)

Mimette: If you don’t mind, how about we have this conversation in private?

Mamoru: But I’m here to spend time with my family.

(he glomps Chibiusa and Usagi and pulls him to his side. You really have to see the hilariousness of his glomping and their shocked expressions at this sudden outburst in gif form, so I will provide that in a minute)

Mimette: O-oh, are they your sisters?

Mamoru (matter of factly): No, they’re my future wife and child.

(He tuns to leave, Usagi smiling at him and Chibiusa skipping along happily as Mimette stares)

Usagi runs off crying after her friends leave her to go get their love fortunes told with their new boyfriends.  And who should she run into but Mamoru!  At an amusement park…by himself.

HEY MAYBE SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO GO TO AMUSEMENT PARKS BY THEMSELVES, OK.  MAYBE MAMORU JUST LIKES TO SIT IN THE WHIRLY TEACUPS BY HIMSELF AND WHIRL AROUND AND SQUEE LIKE A SMALL CHILD.  THEN MAYBE HE JUST LIKES TO SKIP GAILY AROUND THE PARK LOOKING FOR THE NEAREST MERRY-GO-ROUND AND OCCASIONALLY BUYS COTTON CANDY AND ENTERTAINS CHILDREN WITH MAGIC TRICKS.

Usagi relates to Mamoru that while all the other girls went off to the fortune teller, all she wanted was to go to the beach!  Mamoru then offers to take her, saying that he knows a place by the water with an excellent sunset.  D’awww Mamoru that’s actually really romantic…

…So romantic, even, that I am becoming very suspicious.
