What you have concealed you shall become.  You have no other choice.  The message will be delivered.

this was the first episode of Teen Titans I ever saw and was therefore what got me into superheroes. MEMORIES.

Future Raven is probably the worst out of all of them, because if there’s anyone who can’t function alone more than Beast Boy, it’s her, though she’ll never admit it, and not having anyone to support means her mind basically completely breaks which wow. It’s probably a combination of both the fact that her powers requiring a lot of mental strength to maintain control means that losing any amount of control destroys her mind, and her general situation, which is so horrible that her friends were the only thing that really made it worth it for her.
Of course, in continuity with season 4, you have to wonder how the apocalypse was averted without the team being together, other than the writers hadn’t thought of it yet. I remember there was a theory back in the day that Raven being mentally ill might also make her unusable as the portal. It’s also possible that an almost-apocolypse happened like in season 4, but it was averted some other way, but completely broke Raven in the process.
wow this entire episode is basically really depressing fic fodder.

Robin: CUT IT OUT, YOU TWO! I CAN’T WORK WITH ALL THIS NOISE!!!

Raven: Great, Robin. More yelling will definitely stop all the yelling.

*Robin and Raven glare at each other as Starfire sighs*

First of all, apparently Robin thinks listening to music counts as working. everything Robin does counts as working it’s all in the name of justice.

Like he has an entire evidence room he devoted to obssessing over criminals that he basically sleeps in (this is canon, he never hangs out in his actual room according to some DVD extra i saw when i was thirteen but still remember vividly for some reason) but no see working is being out here in the living room listening to Beast Boy and Cyborg fight over video games.

second, Raven snarking off at Robin about his ridiculousness is my favorite

third, Starfire’s face.

Raven: Robin, could the music be any louder? I can still hear myself think.

Robin:…I only turned up the music TO DROWN OUT ALL THE YELLING!!!!!

Soooo in response to people yelling you decided to deafen yourself with loud heavy metal music.

That is a mature and responsible plan.
