DIC did the first two seasons- where the only gay characters they had to change was Zoi and co, though they also did the R movie and took out the “Mamoru seems to be popular with men” “oh Ami this from you!” “I know a couple in my school like that!” exchange and anything that implied that sort of stuff about Fiore. They also took out an end shot that implied those anime artist Victim of the Days in Season 1 might be more than “close friends” (it was just a pinky oath, but that is apparently SUPER STEAMY)

Cloverway took over Seasons 3 and 4 and continued the trend by turning Haruka and Michiru into cousins and Fisheye into a woman, turning a VoTD who showed he liked to crossdress for FIVE SECONDS at the end of the episode into a girl (which made it seem like Chibiusa had a crush on a girl as a side effect OOPS) and also taking two guys in a Fisheye episode who were implied to be “partners” (just implied mind you, I actually missed it the first time) and making them “brothers”.

They were very thorough yet incompetent, as it just made everyone look incestuous because they were so bad at picking out the subtext. Kissin’ cousins!

It would have been amazing to see how they would have gotten around all the stuff in Season 5.

Sorry, this stuff fascinates  me so I did a ton of research.
