YEAH too bad it only lasted two seconds before the Black Guy Died First Spoiler Alert not really everyone saw that coming! I was enjoying the movie unreservedly up until this point (other than eyerolling at all the strip club stuff) and then Darwin happened in the same scene Angel defected even and I just sort of sighed and sank into my seat.

To be fair, I saw Darwin dying first anyhow. And to be fair to Angel, she did join Xorns Brotherhood (comic verse) and realeased her hoard of mutant offspiring on everyone.  *kinda shudders*

I saw her deflecting to the Hellfire club side the moment I knew she was in First Class. Her power was, for lack of a better word, ‘prettified’, in this. SHE VOMITS ACID ON WOLVERINE. How…nice.

But yes, these scene. This scene made me smirk.

Wait, you saw the cliche coming so that makes it fair somehow? (not trying to pick a fight). As for Angel, she eventually switched back to the X-men’s side in the comicsverse, right? And that doesn’t change the fact they could have had one PoC or woman not go to the “bad side” or die or have her memory wiped- JUST ONE. TWO OR THREE WOULD ALSO BE NICE. It’s not like a multitude of PoC women are not available in X-men that haven’t ever switched sides- what about Armor from Joss Whedon’s run? Or like okay I don’t know Xmen very well but I know there are a million characters- Psylocke? Cecelia Reyes? A MILLION.

I mean did Darwin even exist in the comics or did they just make him up to be killed? I think they did.
