Looking back at the links about Noah Bertlasky’s thoughts on WW
The part where he says her costume doesn’t scream “independent woman”
I’m not fond of her classic costume either
but I never knew that your “independent woman”-ness was measured by the amount of clothes you wear, or your clothes could even or had to indicate such a thing.
That’s screwed up.
You know what can be an “independent woman?” A woman who wears whatever the fuck she wants and doesn’t give a damn on how people judge her based on that. But society doesn’t want that, they’d rather shame a woman for what she wears and determine her character and role based on that.
