Tigers Eye and Fish Eye book out while Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon are desperately trying to shove Mako’s dream back in her chest, and then Mako collapses and gets her dream back, and the other girls drag her away while Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon fight the monster. Mako wakes up, supported by the other girls, and sees her two friends in danger. At which point she gets ENRAGED, unleashes a “Super Supreme Thunder” (never to be seen again) and shields them both, angrily declaring “I thought I had found my prince!” The other girls react to this clear indication she’s back and better than evah baby with huge grins, and Minako does the cutest little fistpump like “get it, girl”.

The metaphor is clear- Mako is hurt by the experience, but she jumps back into life as she sees other girls are still in danger and that her friends who supported her so endlessly need her. She’s not about to let anyone around her get hurt, she’s the soldier of protection. And she directs her anger at the proper person: her assailant, not herself. She is still powerful and determined to be strong. She will move on.

And the other girls are just happy and proud to see Mako came out okay.
