Wonder Woman in Batman the Brave and the Bold (by astrofabio68)
Was able to find the cold open for the episode, the part actually featuring the Amazing Amazon and totally summing up why she’s amazing.
Very nice!
The entire cold open. :D
I’m not too pleased with anyone being called a harpy (Diana would have gotten Steve to never use gendered insults if she’s been dating him for a while oKAY) or that she doesn’t appear to be able to fly, which I suspected would happen with this shows Silver Age take, but otherwise this is perfect. Batman’s total JELLUSY and the fact Diana doesn’t appear to be interested him at all is the only way I can take Bats/Wondy, and Diana’s cool competence (and she even tries diplomacy first eeee) and Steve’s total faith she’ll save him and fanboying of her awesome and complete okayness with his distressed Dude position is really the best.
I don’t want anyone telling me that Wonder Woman doesn’t work or can’t be a movie. This proves her setup is pure love.
I still don’t quite get the controversy over why she didn’t fly. I mean, the jet is a nice way to set her apart. It’s stupid and goofy, but it’s unique to her.
was me saying one thing a controversy or did I miss something?
It depowers her
and she can have the jet and still fly. *shrugs*.
And I just grew up always thinking she could fly, the first WW comics I read were Perez-era so it’s a matter of *my* Wondy flying, and I like it because it’s more convenient, it makes sense with her powerset/gifts from the Gods, and honestly, if she can’t fly, even more fannits will be going “that means Superman/random person who can fly is better” so.

She could fly pre-Crisis, it just wasn’t SUSTAINED flight. She could jump off the jet and “catch an air current” to go...

Wait, she can’t fly? Because that was an AWFUL big leap for Wondy to take to get into the plane…
