artsycloudypard asked: So I just read your running commentary on "The Girl Who Surpasses God", and wow, that game was just as hilaribad as I remembered. IT SUCKS TOO because Arakawa's conceptual artwork for all the PS/PS2 games is SO GOOD and you can tell she really liked all the new characters, but UGH whoever wrote that game needs to stop and think for a minute about how bad it was.
Yeah I kinda wish that Arakawa could write the video games. They all tend to have a new female character in them to drive the plot after all, and her intro comics of them are always so cute… I think they’d be really cool in her hands. But we can’t have everything.
hetaliagirl96 asked: I could write a whole essay as to why Shiori is one of my favourite Utena characters. She's arguably one of the most hated characters and I'd be lying if I didn't understand why. She does awful things and some could argue that they are inexcusable. But I think she's more relatable than people give her credit for;she has such crippling self-esteem that they thinks she doesn't deserve any love, much less someone as talented and beautiful as Juri. She's desperate for some advantage and her mind is
twisted to the point where she thinks that Ruka could fill the void and make her feel like she was worth something, especially if it meant that Juri would be beneath her. That’s why his shaming of her upsets me so much, she hates herself to that extreme point and he just goes and makes it 10x worse. She needs help, not more pain. Whoops, sorry for the Shiori rant xD I can get pretty passionate about her sometimes.
It’s cool, I get it. I think it’s down to the misogyny of fandom that Shiori is the most hated when Touga, Ruka, Saionji and Akio do way worse.
